Problem

TSL, a logistics company managing hundreds of trucks across various routes, faced common industry challenges related to the lack of information or inefficiencies in data collection. Specific issues included:

  • Human Errors

    The manual process was prone to data entry errors.

  • Incomplete Data

    The data required to generate reports was retrieved from five separate portals, complicating the consolidation process.

Proposed Solution

To address these issues, we developed a solution with the following components:

Data Extraction

Utilizing user-friendly RPA technology, we automated data extraction from three web portals and two APIs, storing it in a centralized database. This eliminated the need for manual access to these portals, saving time and reducing errors.

Data Normalization and Cross-Referencing

The extracted data was standardized (dates, tax IDs, vehicle license plates, etc.) and rewritten into a readable table. The platform then cross-referenced data from multiple sources to produce a consolidated report, presented through Power BI.

Data Visualization

The solution enabled clients to comfortably visualize all extracted data in real time. The displayed information includes metrics such as the number of truck trips, fuel efficiency, productivity, geographic locations, and more.

Results Achieved

A process that previously required four hours daily and provided limited, inconsistent information is now updated several times a day in seconds and displayed on a Power BI dashboard.
